Creating Online Storybooks using Google Slides

Google slides can go beyond a mere presentation tool with words or probably with some relevant images to go with it. It could also be engaging, interactive and even collaborative.

There are many possible ways of using Google Slides in the classroom, but today I'll be focusing on using it creatively by creating an online storybook with Google Slides.

So, how do we do it?

1. Now let's start by creating a Google slide storybook slides about The Mummy. I assume that you're already an expert in creating one.

2. Click file>publish to the web and then copy and paste the link. You'll see a web version of the slide.

2. Go to Chrome Web Store to install Screencastify extension. Click allow for permission to access your webcam and all other stuff.

 3. Now that you've installed Screencastify, go ahead and click on the Screencastify icon and start recording. Check that you're recording in tab view and don't forget to turn on the microphone.

4. Save and rename the screencast. You can choose to share the link or upload it to Youtube.

And there you go, you've created your very own online storybook. Bear in mind that the free version of Screencastify which is known as Screencastify Lite has its own limitation compared to the premium or the other paid version. Check out their website for more information. Have a wonderful weekend!
